XYZ100 now trades with 5x leverage and a $1,000,000 maximum position size, up from 2x and $100,000 at launch. What changed, why we changed it, and how to size at 5x.

As of Monday, July 27, we’ve cranked up the Nasdaq 100 on Breakout to support 5x leverage and a $1,000,000 maximum position size. Leverage is up from 2x, and the position cap is up from $100,000, ten times the notional room it launched with. Everything else about XYZ100 and your account stays the same.

Why? Because you asked for it.

When the Nasdaq 100 went live on Breakout last week, we launched with conservative limits to let the market bed in. Traders wanted more.

The message in Discord, on social media, and everywhere traders talk to (or about) us was clear: size mattered, and ours was too small. They liked the market. They just wanted to run it bigger. That $100,000 cap kept index positions small next to what traders were already running on BTC.

So, as we’re in the habit of doing, we listened.

We raised both numbers: XYZ100 now trades with the same 5x leverage and the same $1,000,000 notional cap as BTC and ETH, the largest instruments on Breakout. You asked for real size, and now you have it.

What 5x leverage changes on the Nasdaq 100

Two things: how much index exposure you can control, and how big that exposure can get.

Before: a $100,000 position in XYZ100 at 2x required $50,000 of account capital, and $100,000 was the ceiling.

Now: the exact same position takes $20,000, and the ceiling is ten times higher at $1,000,000.

Most importantly: a $200,000 funded account now has the buying power to reach the full cap.

The rules, on the other hand, didn’t change: your daily loss and max drawdown limits are exactly where they were. That’s a great thing, but a reminder: at 5x, a wrong-way move will eat into that daily limit faster, too. Smart position sizing and discipline matter even more, and the traders who win at this size will need to be sharp.

What hasn’t changed at all

  • XYZ100 still prices 24/7. The index it tracks keeps market hours, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday.
  • Spreads still widen overnight and on weekends, and the reopen can gap, so size those windows accordingly.
  • Leverage is still auto-applied, on this and every other instrument. No setting to change.

Beyond that, your Breakout account terms hold: same drawdown limits, same on-demand payouts, same 80-90% profit splits. The new limits apply to evaluation and funded accounts automatically. Nothing to opt into, no new account needed.

Answers for the curious

What leverage does XYZ100 trade at now?

5x, up from 2x at launch. Like all leverage on Breakout it is auto-applied. There is no setting to adjust.

What is the maximum position size?

$1,000,000 in notional value per trader, up from $100,000. You can confirm it on the full symbol list.

Do I need to do anything to get the new limits?

No. They apply automatically to every account that can trade XYZ100, evaluation and funded.

Did anything else about the Nasdaq 100 change?

No. Pricing hours, fees, order types, and your account terms are all as they were at launch. The launch post covers how the instrument behaves, including what to expect from spreads outside underlying market hours.

If the old cap was the reason you left the index alone, it is gone. If you are new to Breakout, start with how funded trading works, then buy an evaluation when you are ready.

Breakout's evaluation program is intentionally rigorous and designed to verify a trader's risk-management skill and strategy discipline before any proprietary capital is allocated by Payward Oceanic Ltd. Most applicants do not pass on their first attempt and there is no guarantee that your performance will improve or that you will pass any future evaluations. Prospective traders should purchase an evaluation only if they are confident in their trading ability and knowingly accept the risk of not qualifying for a funded account. Evaluation fees are non-refundable for each attempt once trading begins, regardless of outcome. See breakoutprop.com for more disclosures.
