Trade the Nasdaq 100 from the same Breakout account you use to trade crypto. Hold overnight, over weekends, and through news. What to know before your first trade.

You can now trade the Nasdaq 100 on Breakout, with the firm’s capital, from the account you already have: same Breakout Terminal, same rules, same order types, same fees as every crypto instrument. It is our first market outside crypto, and in the Terminal it trades under the ticker XYZ100.

How the Nasdaq 100 works on Breakout

XYZ100 tracks the Nasdaq 100, the index of the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange. You are trading the price, not the shares. A position gives you exposure to the index moving up or down; you get no dividends, no shareholder rights, and no delivery of anything.

What it removes is the part worth paying attention to. Index traders at most prop firms operate under session rules: time limits, forced position closes at the end of the day, daily settlement. Breakout lists the Nasdaq 100 with none of that. No time limits, no forced closes, no daily settlement. You can hold overnight, hold through the weekend, hold through news. If your strategy is a three-day swing on the index, you can run it from the same account you use to trade BTC with leverage.

Your Breakout account terms do not change either: same drawdown limits, same on-demand payouts, same 80% profit split (90% available). XYZ100 is treated like any other instrument in the Terminal and is available on evaluation and funded accounts from day one.

Before you size a trade

Two numbers to know. Leverage is 2x, auto-applied like every non-BTC, non-ETH instrument on Breakout, with no setting to change. The maximum position size is $100,000 in notional value per trader.

You can confirm both in the Terminal by right-clicking the instrument and selecting Instrument info, or on the full symbol list.

Pricing runs 24/7. The underlying market does not.

XYZ100 trades around the clock, seven days a week, like everything else on Breakout. The index it tracks has defined market hours: 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday. Outside those hours the instrument keeps pricing through a protected pricing model, and that changes how it behaves.

Expect wider spreads overnight and on weekends, and expect prices to move sharply when the underlying market reopens. XYZ100 has its own price discovery within the Breakout trading environment, so its price can differ from the index value you see on third-party platforms, and the gap is usually larger outside market hours. Trade smaller overnight and on weekends, and know the reopen can gap.

Common questions

What leverage is available for XYZ100?

2x. Leverage on Breakout is auto-applied, on this and every other instrument. There is no setting to adjust.

What is the maximum position size?

$100,000 in notional value per trader. You can check any instrument’s cap in the Terminal by right-clicking it and selecting Instrument info.

When can I trade it?

24/7 in the Breakout Terminal. The underlying index trades 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday, so expect wider spreads and thinner conditions outside those hours.

Do I need a new account?

No. XYZ100 is available on evaluation and funded accounts, alongside every crypto instrument already in the Terminal.

Why does the price differ from the index on other platforms?

XYZ100 has its own price discovery and its price is set within the Breakout trading environment. It can differ from the index value shown elsewhere, most noticeably outside underlying market hours.

If you have been waiting for a market beyond crypto on Breakout, this is the first, and more are coming. If you are new here, start with how funded trading works, then buy an evaluation when you are ready.

Breakout's evaluation program is intentionally rigorous and designed to verify a trader's risk-management skill and strategy discipline before any proprietary capital is allocated by Payward Oceanic Ltd. Most applicants do not pass on their first attempt and there is no guarantee that your performance will improve or that you will pass any future evaluations. Prospective traders should purchase an evaluation only if they are confident in their trading ability and knowingly accept the risk of not qualifying for a funded account. Evaluation fees are non-refundable for each attempt once trading begins, regardless of outcome. See breakoutprop.com for more disclosures.
